Volodymyr Koshuba ( born 1948 ) is obtuning a growing international reputation for his musical and artistic performances as a concert-organist.
From 1955 till 1966 study piano in Kiev special music shool named M.V,Lysenko (famous Ukrainian Composer).!966-1972-continue to study piano in Kiev stste conservatory.
He graduated originally as a pianist at the age of 24, being a student of Professor T. Kravchenko at the Kyiv State Conservatory. After graduation he was appointed pianist of the Kyiv State Philharmonic Orchestra.
Simultaneously he studied Organ with Professor A. Kotliarevsky for 5 years at the Kyiv Conservatory.
In 1981 he was appointed Organist of the Kyiv Concert Hall.
Further study was done with Professor Hugo Lepnurm in Tallinn, Estonia, who himself was a pupil of the renowned french Organist Marcel Dupre.
In 1988 Volodymyr Koshuba was awarded the title O Honoured Artist of Ukraine, followed by his participation in the International Organist Seminar in Munich - Germany, in 1989.
Volodymyr KoshubaOs repertoire is very wide. Besides the standard organ repertoire he plays many works by Ukrainian composers, who are litttle known outside Ukraine.
As a concert-organist Volodymyr Koshuba performed in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, United Kingdom, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Bulgaria, Austria, Spain, France, USA, Canada, Uruguay, Brasilia, Argentina and Japan.
In 1994 he made his first concert tour to the American continent, performing in many US cities, including a performance in the National Cathedral in Washington DC. During this tour he also performed in Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.
Volodymyr Koshuba played and recorded many times for Radio, Television and CD.
In 1995 he was elected as a member of the Italian Music Academy, and in 1996 awarded a special prise by the magor of Kyoto (Japan).
Volodymyr Koshuba has played and recorded many times for Radio,Television and CD.
In 1998 he completed recording his first North American CD featuring the large Rieger-Kloss Organ At Trinity Lutheran Church in Roselle (suburb of Chicago).
1999- CD vZurich-Swiss,2002-CD-Ukraine, 2003-CD-Roshester USA.,2004-CD in Ukraine.
In 2007 year was awarded the title People Artist of Ukraine by President of Ukraine..
